Hi, David!

That depends on what header you selected in the customizer. Its okay to copy all files related to the theme.

Cheers

Thanks Joseph.  I noticed there were 4 different PHP files starting with header.  I copied all over to the child theme.  The modification was needed in the header-navigation-1.php file.  Should I have left all the others in the main theme directory, or are all of them needed in the child?

Thanks again for your insight.

Hi, david.

You can overwrite the header by overwriting the header file (header.php) in your child theme.

Cheers!

I'm using Thrive Nouveau Version: 3.1.0

Currently Header Style 1 displays the apps material-icon for access to the menu.  I'd like to use the menu material-icon instead.  Is there a way to override this area in the header or can you point me to the file/routine I can override in the child class?

<a href="#" class="dropdown-toggle hidden-xs" data-toggle="dropdown" role="button" aria-haspopup="true" aria-expanded="true"> <i class="material-icons">apps</i> </a>

Thanks,

David Rall
