This is Balint. I am contacting you regarding an issue which is in your Thrive (Intranet) Theme. This problem seems to be happening only for users with Administrator (manage_options) roles. If I change the user to any other user role, the problem is gone. Let me explain the issue. The problem is at the notification area on the right top corner. There is the notifications (bell) icon, next to it is the messages notification icon. When an admin receive a message, the message icon lights up, but if you click on it, nothing happens, no drop down panel or anything at all. In case if you click on the other icon on the left which is the notification icon, that one is working. Also, if you on your profile page, the problem is gone until you stay on that page. But if you trying to open the messages notification icon on any other page, it is not working at all. I have tried to deactivate all the plugins and try it that way, but the problem is still on, so must be some coding issue. Also wiped my database and done everything again, but all the same… Once I deactivate the “manage_options” permission rule on the actual user, the problem is not there anymore, but in this case that user is not allowed to set up anything major on page anymore. So you loosing the admin role, but the messages notification icon is working on any page on the site. Please reply us ASAP, I am really stressing out because of this issue.
