Hi, CodeGeek

I will test this behaviour and provide a fix in the next update :)

Thank you for the workaround. I own a license for the WPBakery plugin and installed it on a basic WordPress site (Twentyninteen theme) and the padding works as expected even with a background color applied to the columns. WPBakery has a column-inner div (within the column div) that gets the background color applied to it, so the padding on the outer column div creates the gap between columns, and background colors do not touch. Your extra rows are basically doing the same thing, but it would be nice to be able to use the "column gap" setting in the main row vs adding additional nested rows and columns.

Hi, Codegeek

I think that is the default behavior of WPBakery, the column adds padding instead of margin, so the background will stick. If you want to achieve the gap like the screenshot:

Then you need to add row to each columns and add background, and margin:

I need solid color backgrounds in this case. Adding margins in design options also doesn't work. The columns are going to 100% and overriding the margin values. Also adding margins in design options gives me no means of controlling those margins at narrower browser widths since they automatically git the !important tag. Can you take a look at supporting column gaps in the theme?

I'm not sure maybe the gap was covered by the background color. Can you try adding margin or padding under 'Design Options'?

Sure thing. Here is the Row Setting for column gap

https://prnt.sc/p0vlrp

Here is the resulting columns without a gap between rows.

Thank you for any assistance.

Hi codegeek.

Sorry about the that. There is a issue with our file attachment as of the moment. May I ask you to upload the screenshot using this website?

When I have a row and columns and I set the column gap option on the row no gap appears on the front end (or in the CSS when I inspect). I'm setting a background color on the columns and the only content is a text block. Please let me know if a fix is possible to create gaps between columns. Please also note I do not want padding/gaps on the outside on the left/right of the first/last columns (only between columns).

I've tried including some screenshots but the "Attachment" feature of this ticket system fails to upload the files.
